spinning top print by thomas forsyth and owen gildersleeve

i love the impishness with which thomas forsyth approached his most recent exhibition, objects and play. forsyth's objective was to "create an excuse (for adults) to interact with objects in the way that kids do...to make a personal adventure of ideas" without any preconceived rules of the process. his "ever-growing inspirations include secret compartments, the colour red, human thought processes, fairytales and grey areas." love it!!

a signature method in his drawings is the use of a drawing top - a spinning top with a pen for the spindle. i particularly like this series!

and i love the collaborative work with owen gildersleeve (of the amazing graphic design collective, evening tweed), such as the limited edition handmade books to accompany objects and play and the spinning top prints.
