paper artist of the week: elsa mora

elsa mora began papercutting when she was young and wanted so badly to cut her own hair that, because she was forbade to do so, she created a paper wig to wear and trim instead. the experience so satisfied her need to create, she began making paper dolls for friends...fast forward to today, and she now shows her paper sculptures and other works internationally. the intricacy of her pieces is amazing - i love the stories they tell. so beautiful! she just recently began a blog dedicated to the art of papercutting, and you can see more of her work here, or purchase some of her paper and other works here.
