village underground is an evolving project intended to link cultural practitioners across europe and beyond. village underground london is the first cultural space in the series ~ designed by auro foxcroft, it consists of four reclaimed underground subway cars mounted over an old brick warehouse. the subway cars are used as affordable work spaces for artists, and the warehouse is a multi-use space for events. very, very cool. immediate plans are to extend the project into berlin, lisbon, and toronto.
