absolutely gorgeous mixed media paintings by noted encaustic artist eric blum. i love how these appear to be distorted photographic images, an effect he achieves by applying one layer per day of watercolor, silk, and beeswax or resin. his intent in this work is to describe the ache and the insatiability of desire. stunning!
