just in case you have not heard...polaroid may be saved!! florian kaps has been a big player in the campaign to save polaroid ~ he set up polanoid and also founded the first ever polaroid-only gallery in vienna, polanoir. under kaps' managment, in an effort entitled the impossible project, development of a new film for polaroid began yesterday. in collaboration with ilford, film of two exposure types will be produced, each compatible with both the sx-70 and the 600 series. the goal is to mass produce the film before year's end ~ right about the time existing film stocks are expected to be depleted. happy, happy, joy, joy!
