i have amassed quite an impressive collection of reusable shopping bags. and thankfully, i actually remember to have them with me when shopping now. it's an easy way to make, over time, a substantial impact in reducing post-consumer waste. the feed bag from whole foods takes this concept to a new level. it's eco-friendly - made from organic cotton and burlap - but it's more than that. with each purchase, 100 meals are provided to children in rwanda through the united nations world food program's school feeding program. that's right, 100 children are fed a healthy meal when you buy one bag. pretty amazing. i'm headed to whole foods this afternoon to buy one.
