the shade is made of a piece of cork that allows you to customize the lampshade with your own textile or piece of printed paper. the lamp is a finalist in the bright ideas lighting competition. the competition challenges designers around the world to come up with inspired design solutions to shine a light on eco-friendly led technology. over 450 designers submitted entries to this competition and 40 finalists were short-listed to participate in online voting until june 15th.
