Nokia and Intel have shown new OS
Corporations Intel and Nokia on the mobile congress in Barcelona announced platform MeeGo, which becomes a hybrid of mobile systems Moblin (Mobile Linux) and Maemo. First versions MeeGo will appear in the second quarter 2010, and devices on the basis of OS — till the end of a year.
MeeGo for smart phones
MeeGo it is intended for work on a wide spectrum of devices, including smart phones, tablets and laptops. It will allow to create applications which without adaptation will work at once on several kinds of devices. Shop of appendices for MeeGo becomes belonging Nokia Ovi Store.
New OS for Nokia N900
MeeGo will co-exist with platform Symbian which is now used for smart phones. New OS is intended for devices of class Nokia N900 which the Finnish corporation prefers to name mobile computers.
