atomic jellyfish

bovey lee is a papercut artist with an extensive background in calligraphy and painting. she approaches her papercut work with elements of these disciplines, first illustrating the image and then using an exacto knife to cut the rice paper with strokes used in calligraphy. she is currently participating in the 2008 pittsburgh biennial, a contemporary art exhibition presenting a continuum of visual art disciplines.
