as a general rule, my favorite spaces are artists' studios. something about the simultaneous mess and order, and how the space always feels as though its breathing with anticipation. i love paint splatters on concrete (or wood) floors and i love especially the objects of inspiration that always inhabit the area. while flickr browsing, i came across the image above of ceramic artist and designer diana fayt's studio (of one black bird)...she is a very talented ceramist, and i think her studio is quite charming. also check her blog, website, and store.
