my friend jackie at peppermags posted recently about spoonflower, an online service which allows you to design and print your own fabric. i'm fascinated by the idea ~ came across a beautiful example of the possibilities of this concept at the small object, and wanted to share. sarah wrote a letter to her niece and designed a fabric around it, spoonflower printed the fabric, and then sarah made this wonderful quilt as a holiday gift for her niece. so thoughtful and lovely.
