Finnish corporation Nokia has informed on January, 21st on release of the new version of cartographical service Ovi Maps with free pedestrian and automobile navigation.
Navigating service by Nokia
Service of vocal navigation works in 74 countries and is capable to give navigating instructions in 46 languages. In total Ovi Maps contain navigation charts more than 180 countries. New Ovi Maps also demand for work of transfer smaller, than before volume of data.
In Nokia notice, that are full determination by means of Ovi Maps to increase twice the navigating market. Now, according to researchers of company Canalys, navigators in the world use 27 million persons. By estimations Nokia, free Ovi Maps will increase this indicator on 20 million.
Ovi Maps for Nokia Booklet 3G
While new Ovi Maps are installed only on 10 smart phones Nokia, including Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia N97 mini and Nokia E72. Representatives Nokia have declared, that plans about distribution of new conditions on laptop Nokia Booklet 3G still are not present. In the future inclusion in Ovi Maps service with the prevention of stoppers and jams is planned.
