as a painter i am currently engaged with objective subject matter, mountain iconography, and the challenges of materiality and representation. produced on raw linen - exposed and pictorially incorporated in some – my recent paintings reference the sublime of romantic landscape painting while challenging pictorial illusion with an often dripping, viscous application of paint and medium.
